Gaelic Star collects nothing. No accounts, no sign-in, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software of any kind that could collect something on our behalf.
Your career, your settings and your records are a file on your own phone. Nothing is sent anywhere, because there is nothing in the game that talks to the internet at all.
Who we are
Gaelic Star is made and published by Niall O’Donovan, an individual developer based in Ireland. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), that is the data controller for this app.

What the game itself collects
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no email field, no username and no analytics service. The game does not ask for your name in order to store it anywhere — the name you type is written into your own save file so that the game can address you.
What is stored on your device
- Your career save — your county, your panel, your results, your seasons.
- Your settings — half length, difficulty, sound.
- Your local records — your streak and your local leaderboard, which contains only your own runs and the game’s own generated managers.
There is no advertising in Gaelic Star. There are no ad networks, no trackers, no advertising identifier is read, and no tracking permission is ever asked for.
All of this lives inside the app’s own storage on your phone. We cannot see it. If your device is set to back up to iCloud, Apple may include this file in that backup, the same as it does for other apps — that is a setting on your phone, not something the game does.
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is nothing held anywhere else to delete.
Children
Gaelic Star is rated for a general audience and is suitable for children, but it is not submitted to the App Store’s Kids Category. It asks for no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Because nothing is collected from anybody, there is no children's data to protect, no profile built, and no advertising shown to anyone of any age.

There is nothing bought and nothing sold
Gaelic Star has no in-app purchases. There is no store, no currency you can buy, and no payment information of any kind is asked for or handled by this game. Everything the game has, every player has.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data.
Because we hold nothing about you, there is in practice nothing for us to look up, send, correct or delete — and nothing anybody else holds on our behalf either. Deleting the app removes everything the game has ever written.
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Ireland that is the Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or why, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the change will be described in the app’s release notes. We will not quietly widen what is collected.
