Delete your account

Last updated 23 September 2026

You can delete your Gaelic Star account from inside the game, at any time, in two taps. It takes your name, your player and every score off the online leaderboards, and erases what our server keeps for you.

No longer have the game? Email gaelicstar@proton.me and we will do it for you.

In the game

  1. Open Gaelic Star.
  2. On the main menu, tap SETTINGS.
  3. Tap Delete account. The button turns red and asks you to tap again.
  4. Tap TAP AGAIN TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT. It is done, and the game goes back to the main menu.

The button is only there once the game has been online and has an account to delete. If you do not see it, your phone has never made one, and there is nothing on our side to delete.

By email

Write to gaelicstar@proton.me with the subject Delete my account, and tell us your player’s name and county as they show on the leaderboards, so we can find the right one. A person reads it, and we will write back when it is done.

What is deleted

All of it is deleted straight away. Old leaderboards are not archived, so there is no older copy anywhere for your name to stay on.

What is not deleted

If you play Compete again afterwards, the game makes a brand-new account that has nothing to do with the old one.

Everything the game keeps and sends is set out in the privacy policy.
