There is something about that Conor Gormley superman style diving block against Armagh in the All-Ireland final that is burned into the memory banks.

With two minutes remaining in the match, and Tyrone a vulnerable three points ahead, Armagh forward Stephen McDonnell, who had already scored five goals in the Championship, finally found himself in space.

He looked up and headed for goal but just as he unleashed his shot Gormley made a stunning flying block. Who says defenders don’t win games?
