THEY said it would never last, but Gaelic Star magazine, is celebrating a year in existence.

It’s testament to the driving force of publisher Francis McNally and the great support of the wider GAA public that Gaelic Star continues to go from strength to strength.

The magazine, featuring an eclectic mix of features, opinion and lifestyle stories has proved to be winning formula with the readers.

“It was a huge risk to launch a magazine in the middle of a recession but we were passionate about the product and believed that GAA fans would support us,” said Francis.

“It has been a tough year but we have been amazed by the interest and goodwill shown towards the product. As we look ahead, Gaelic Star is only going to get bigger and better.

“The magazine will continue to reflect the wide variety of opinions that make the GAA the greatest sporting organization in the world.”

The seventh edition of Gaelic Star magazine will be in the shops at the end of November.

  1. Hello all.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Mickey Harte and Ulster Bank for supporting the Gaelic Star Magazine on our 1st Anniversary. It has been an exciting year, and hopefully our second year is as successful as the first.

As each month passes we hope to grow and improve with each edition. With prominent GAA sponsors such as
Ulster Bank on board, and a few well known pundits who will be writing for us shortly, the future definately looks bright for the Gaelic Star.

    Happy Birthday Gaelic Star
