Vodafone 2009 All-Star hurling team will be announced this afternoon. Kilkenny are expected to dominate the selection even because of the fact that beaten finalists Tipperary have received one more nomination.
Henry Shefflin is tipped to win a record-equalling ninth award,
while his Kilkenny team-mate Tommy Walsh is hot favourite to claim the Hurler of the Year.
The All-Star football team will be announced at tomorrow’s awards banquet in Dublin.
