New Armagh Manager,Paddy O Rourke, lifts the Sam for Co. Down

Former Down legend Paddy O’Rourke has picked up the management reigns again. The Burren man, who was a surprise selection, has yet to name his backroom team.  He was Down Manager for 3 years previous to Ross Carr, and even though they won no silver wear, O’Rourke competed with Tyrone and Armagh by bringing in some young talented players. Armagh fans hope he can bring this same fortune to the Orchard county, starting with the McKenna Cup in January.  O’Rourke said “ Although Im a proud Down man, Im also a GAA fan” and already the pundits are looking forward to the clash of Armagh and Down when they meet in the National league division two, where his wits will be pitted against his old friend James McCarten.
