Following on from Wicklows successful run in the Championship, Micko may continue for his 4TH  year at the helm. After recent ankle surgery, he will be taking advice from his surgeon and making a decision from there. Their performances against the Ulster teams at Aughrim this year were magnificent. The game against Down was end to end stuff, a thrilling encounter which they won with the last kick of the ball.

Wicklow came very close to winning Gaelic Stars team of the championship such was their tremendous run. The Garden County made it to the last 12 for the first time in their history, making it a summer to remember for all involved. The pitch invasions by the fans for 3 weekends in a row was the stuff of fairytales. The momentum is with Mick and his team and another season in charge could see the Wickow men have another great season next year. Two of their outstanding players Ciaran Hyland and half forward Leighton Glynn have been nominated for All Stars.
