The Irish news have spoken of Pete Mc Graths interest in becoming the next Armagh football manager. McGrath who was 1991 and 1994 Down all Ireland winning manager is open to the prospect of managing the Mourne Countys biggest rivals. Earlier this month he was controversially overlooked for the managerial position.

Mc Grath said

“If I was approached, I would give the offer serious consideration. If Armagh were interested in me, I would certainly think about it”

He has also admitted to still be hurting surrounding his unsuccessful bid to return to Down. When asked if the pain had eased he replied that it hadn’t really and it might be one of those things that might linger.
