John Mullane Celebrtaes after firing over another point for Waterford

John Mullane has received a 4 week ban after De La Salle’s quarter final draw against Ballygunner. He received the minimum ban after the refs’ report stated he used minimal force to strike another player. Its of little consequence to the city club as they lost the replay to Ballygunner in Dungarvan and are now out of the County championship.

The Waterford County board was forced to issue an apology to Mullane, after the ref  Pat Casey sent him from the players area on the sideline, off the field, where he watched the remainder of the game from the embankment. La Salle issued a complaint after the game that someone one who has given so much for the county should be treated in such a way.
